We are three Oak Bay brothers (ages 15, 13, and 10), and five years ago we discovered a farm in Abbotsford (Berrycrest Farms) that sells fresh picked blueberries at competitive prices. The issue is they are located out of Abbotsford and getting there and back takes hours and dealing with ferries.
MJ Bros Blueberries was created to learn about entrepreneurship. This year, (like last year) we are getting the berries trucked over in a refrigerated truck. We are selling them in 10 and 20lb boxes. This year is our fourth year, and last year we sold over 2400lbs to more than 120 customers!
We are all saving up for different things this year. Our goal in life is to make the world a better place so that is why we will be donating 10% of our profits towards protecting ancient trees on Vancouver Island (visit https://ancientforestalliance.org/ for more info).

The delivery zone is the same as it was last year, and we will be delivering to South Oak Bay, see the map further down for specifics.
To ensure you get the freshest blueberries, please pick up your order no later than two days after our pickup on August 1st, 2024. After that, we can't guarantee the quality. We've also improved our receipt system and set up auto-deposit for e-transfers to make the ordering process smoother.
In the unlikely event of any issues that lead to a cancellation, we'll promptly refund all your money. These blueberries are perfect for baked goods, smoothies, or simply enjoying them frozen. If you have freezer space, they store well in Ziplocs (instructions below). We sincerely hope you consider ordering these delightful berries from us.

We are selling the blueberries by the 10lb and the 20lb box. The cost per pound averages out to $3.50 a pound for 10lb boxes and $3.20 per pound for 20lb boxes. which is a really good price compared to any store in 2024!

If you have freezer space, we suggest at least 20 pounds which store well in medium Ziplocs.
These blueberries are delicious in any baked goods and smoothies but we love eating them frozen. We really hope that you consider ordering some delightful berries.

Having learned from past years, this year we will only be accepting e-transfer as payment.
To order, send an email to mjbrosberries@gmail.com. Please state the amount you would like to order, as well as your address if you are within the free delivery zone, if you are unsure we will let you know.
Please provide your order to us by July 28, 2024 so Berrycrest has time to pick and box them up before we arrive. the berries will be available to pickup and be delivered on August 1, 2024. We will send out an email when we have the berries in Victoria and when we will start delivering orders. Pickup will be at 628 Transit and further details will be provided when they are ready for pickup.
If anything goes wrong and we have to cancel, we will refund all your money promptly.

Below is a map of the places we deliver our product to your doorstep. Anyone outside this zone in Oak Bay or Victoria can pick up at 628 Transit Road upon berry arrival. If you're just outside this area and pick-up is difficult for you, please let us know and we'll see if we can deliver them to you.

We recommend that if you have freezer space that you freeze our blueberries as they taste great in many things and it is a super simple process!
